Samy Reeb is a tax lawyer by training specializing in cross-border wealth planning, private placement life insurance (PPLI), and international structuring for high-net-worth individuals. He is the founder of Alpina Legacy, an advisory firm focused on independent, fiduciary-driven solutions for complex international clients.
With extensive experience in wealth planning, Samy Reeb advises private clients, family offices, and financial institutions on the design and implementation of compliant PPLI structures across multiple jurisdictions. His work focuses particularly on tax-efficient asset protection, cross-border investment planning, and regulatory-compliant insurance solutions.
Samy Reeb is also the author of a book dedicated to Private Placement Life Insurance, in which he analyzes the legal, tax, and structural aspects of PPLI as a global wealth planning tool. In addition to his advisory practice, he teaches on the topic of PPLI at Fudan University in Shanghai, where he contributes to executive education programs focused on international wealth management.
He is a regular speaker at international conferences on insurance-based wealth planning and cross-border structuring.
Rolf Roetheli brings over 40 years of experience in the banking and international insurance industries, having held numerous senior management and executive positions. Throughout his career, he has developed deep expertise in insurance-based wealth structuring, with a particular focus on life insurance solutions used in international private banking and cross-border wealth planning.
Rolf began his career at Merrill Lynch in 1985 before joining UBS AG in Zurich, where he became a recognized expert in the private banking sector. During his time at UBS, he was responsible for the development and advisory of special products for ultra-high-net-worth clients. He played a pioneering role in introducing insurance-based structures to the Swiss private banking industry and was instrumental in establishing and directing several insurance companies and platforms serving international clients.
In 2009, Rolf joined Julius Baer Group as Managing Director, a position he held until 2020. During this period, he built and led the bank’s global partner network for special products and oversaw the development of insurance solutions within the bank’s product offering. His work focused particularly on integrating life insurance and Private Placement Life Insurance (PPLI) structures into international wealth management strategies for sophisticated clients.
Ryan is a finance professional with over 20 years of experience in financial management. He has succeeded in the financial services sector and in publicly listed companies in Hong Kong.

David Calfoun is a legal and financial expert with a multidisciplinary career spanning law, corporate strategy, and academia. Originally trained as an attorney, he has held key positions as Legal Director, Financial Auditor, CEO, Professor, Writer, and Speaker, with a particular focus on white-collar crime, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), negotiations, and emerging technologies.
He holds an MBA in Business Law and Finance from Aix-Marseille University, as well as an LL.M. from Yeshiva University (Cardozo School of Law), and passed the New York Bar.
David Calfoun has developed extensive international experience across both France and the United States. He has worked as a legal consultant for the New York City Law Department, within law firms, and in major corporate groups, where he notably served as Legal Director. He is also the founder of an accounting and advisory firm.
Alongside his professional career, he is deeply committed to education and knowledge sharing. He teaches law, finance, public speaking, and defense speech at several universities in France and regularly publishes books and articles on legal and financial topics.

Christophe Boos brings over 25 years of experience to Alpina Legacy, having recently joined the Group as a Partner in Switzerland.
A graduate with a Diploma of Higher Education in Wealth Management from the University Robert Schumann, Christophe began his career in France with senior manager roles with key insurance companies before moving to Luxembourg, where he held the position of Country Manager France at Vitis Life. His journey in the financial industry continued in Switzerland, where he played pivotal roles at Lombard International Assurance, Bâloise Vie Luxembourg, and Bâloise Life Liechtenstein.
With a strong foundation and extensive expertise in the field of wealth management and life insurance, Christophe Boos has also assumed the crucial responsibility of driving and expanding La Mondiale Europartner's business in Switzerland. His strategic insights and comprehensive understanding of the patrimonial life insurance market position him as a key contributor to the company's growth and success.
Tal Yampolsky has recently joined Alpina Legacy, bringing his extensive executive experience both Swiss and global markets.
With a remarkable career spanning more than two decades, Tal served as the former COO/CIO and executive board member of Bank Hapoalim Switzerland, a key player within Israel's largest bank. His impact extends beyond borders, having held pivotal roles in various global financial industries with k2g group and Normative. Active globally in diverse banking verticals, Tal played a crucial role in assisting numerous companies in achieving their growth objectives.

Christian Cebreros is an accomplished investment management executive with extensive experience in taking investment structures from concept to implementation across both traditional and digital asset classes. His expertise covers regulatory licensing with FINMA, outsourcing and vendor strategy, system selection, and the design of compliant product frameworks. Christian has a hands-on track record in building investment management platforms, booking centre infrastructures, execution desks, and governance architectures supporting multi-entity, cross-jurisdiction operations. As Managing Partner at The Good Guys Company (TGGC), a Zürich-based consultancy, he leads complex transformation and platform strategy mandates for asset and wealth managers across EMEA, having successfully delivered projects for leading institutions such as Vontobel Asset Management and Credit Suisse International Wealth Management.
Philippe Mantel is a seasoned and qualified lawyer in Switzerland. He acquired his professional experience over roughly ten years working in the corporate tax departments of several Big Four firms in Geneva, Lausanne, and Zurich.
Since 2015, he has been with Meyerlustenberger Lachenal (MLL) in Geneva—first as an associate, and since 2019 as a partner—advising private individuals and corporate clients on all aspects of tax law. Philippe Mantel also served as an assessor judge at the Geneva Administrative Court for tax matters until 2018.
He is fluent in French, German, and English.

With over two decades of experience, Zhang has developed platforms that connect financial advisors, clients, and global resources. Later she joined the largest Swiss trust company and was mainly in charge of the Asian market. She specializes in providing comprehensive solutions and utilizing different tools to achieve wealth planning and succession purposes.
